Today's information society, where various things come and go, has undergone dramatic evolution with the advent of AI and other technologies. In this environment, "healthcare" continues to provide unchanging value to support people's comfortable lives. The Matsumoto Global Foundation was established to foster global healthcare professionals who will lead the next generation. Global healthcare professionals who try to fulfill their mission beyond the barriers of nationality, ethnicity, religion, etc. often encounter many obstacles. How to overcome these obstacles is also a major challenge. For this reason, The Matsumoto Global Foundation will promote mutual understanding in a wide range of fields, not only in the field of healthcare, but also through economic exchange, personal exchange, and cultural and artistic exchange.

We hope that the "bonds" between people through exchange will bear fruit and that true international contributions will be deepened even further.

Mission

Fostering Global Healthcare Professionals

With the evolution of ICT and the borderless information society, it goes without saying that overseas markets are attracting attention as the domestic market shrinks. In particular, the healthcare market has become in need of a strategy built on a global system, as we have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. What is required of global healthcare talent is the ability to flexibly bring together an organization, solve problems, and achieve results, overcoming various languages, religions, cultures, and values. The Ministry of Education's Global Human Resource Development Promotion Council defines the following three elements as qualities that should be acquired:

I: Language skills and communication skills

II: Initiative and proactiveness, spirit of challenge, cooperation and flexibility, sense of responsibility and mission

III: Understanding of different cultures and identity as a Japanese person

Matsumoto Memorial Foundation will strive to develop medical professionals through various activities to acquire the above qualities. In this age where we coexist with people from around the world, the development of global medical professionals who can overcome challenges and forge ahead by demonstrating a variety of skills and qualities, such as language ability, communication ability, initiative, leadership, and cooperation, is an urgent issue for Japan and the Japanese medical industry.
