Subsidy program for nurses to present at international conferences

The Matsumoto Memorial Foundation aims to develop medical professionals, and one way to resolve the various barriers that stand in the way of medical care is to share information. It is necessary to share as much information as possible and select only the information that is necessary. Furthermore, it is not enough to just share information; it is also essential for the people involved to communicate with each other, that is, to form bonds. By forming bonds, a place is created where people can improve themselves through friendly competition, which eventually becomes a circle and spreads widely. With this in mind, we launched the magazine Kizuna.

Local Independent Administrative Institution for Public Hospitals Establishment and Operation Manual Q&A

Yoshiro Uetsuka / Supevisor

In September 2019, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare compiled an analysis of 424 public hospitals nationwide, stating that "reorganization and integration are particularly necessary for discussion," and published the names of the hospitals. When considering responses to emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19, it is true that public hospitals are easier to secure hospital beds and mobilize doctors and nurses at the command of local governments than private hospitals. However, this alone does not mean that the best course of action is to continue operating the hospitals as they are. Reform is "immediate!" As the editor, I am confident that this book will be useful to readers. I hope you will read it to the end (from "Words from the Editor")
