Fostering System

Talent Development
Matsumoto Global Foundation has established a system for the training of international medical professionals and actively supports them. In addition to improving skills and knowledge, we aim to improve the quality of medical care by cultivating the ability to flexibly collaborate and manage with multiple professions and by promoting human resource exchanges across borders.

Subsidy program for nurses to present at international conferences
In recent years, an increasing number of nurses are conducting research on themes related to their daily practice and presenting their findings at academic conferences. These activities contribute greatly to the development of medical care and nursing. However, there are barriers to presenting overseas, such as differences in language and environment.
The Matsumoto Memorial Foundation, together with the Healthcare Associated Infection Control Support (HAICS) research group, supports nurses who present their research and practice on infection control at overseas academic conferences.
In 2026, we will support participation in APSIC (Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control), an academic organization that promotes infection control in the Asia Pacific region.
Academic societies eligible for funding in 2026
The Matsumoto Memorial Foundation has established a grant program to help nurses who wish to present their practical experience or research on infection control at international academic conferences. For the third round of grants, we selected presenters for APSIC2026, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 23 to August 2, 2026, as detailed below.
