The delegation paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Kobayashi of Japan to Iran, who kindly explained about the current situation in Iran.

Before meeting with Iranian Ministry of Health senior officials, we visited Dr. Rajai Heart Hospital of which facilities were almost the same as those in Japan.

Gandhi Hotel Hospital, a hotel-style hospital for the wealthy, has 100 beds, 150 doctors, and 120 patients per day. Although the equipment is insufficient, the hotel-style is a noteworthy trend.

In Iran, to prevent counterfeit medicines, the GS1 barcode displayed on medicines is read by a mobile app.
A system that can check whether a medicine is registered through a legitimate route is now in operation. From the perspective of traceability, it may be surprisingly useful if it is introduced in Japan.
