Matsumoto Museum
The museum exhibits items donated by various countries to express gratitude for the Foundation's activities, as well as photographs tracing the footsteps of international exchange. The items in the museum's collection are also valuable as cultural assets, and speak of the breadth of exchange that has taken place to date.

Our definite footprints are engraved on the gifts of friendship from 40 countries.

Along with paintings depicting the old Nihonbashi, there are rare accessories from overseas. You can feel the craftsmanship in the designs.

The vase on the right is an antique celadon donated by a Korean client. The three-dimensional overlapping floral patterns are carefully painted with outstanding technique.

The semazens (dancers) who perform Turkey's mystical Sema dance are known for spinning endlessly in pursuit of oneness with God.

A poem written during a visit to Hangzhou. A Japanese-Chinese collaboration. It describes Xi Shi, one of the four great beauties of China, who drowned in the West Lake, and the scenery.

A plate with Cheriyal painting donated by the Telangana state government in India. The design is based on a legend from the state of Telangana.

This beautifully decorated figurine was donated by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Uzbekistan. It features a floral motif and represents the colorful four seasons.

Chinese cloisonné called Jingtailan. It is highly regarded for its intricate craftsmanship during the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty. It is also used as another name for old Chinese cloisonné.
Interactions with politicians and business leaders from around the world also support the Foundation's activities.
A fateful encounter with Chairman Castro 1978

In 1978, Mr. Matsumoto visited Cuba for the first time. He met the late Chairman Fidel Castro. Since then, the Sakura operated a medical equipment factory since early 1980s.

Visit to President Islam Karimov 2015

In October 2015, Prime Minister Abe's Central Asia mission visited the late President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov (who passed away in September 2016).

We accompanied Prime Minister Abe on his mission to visit the Republic of Mongolia and five Central Asian countries, the first visit by a Japanese prime minister to that country.
Varadero Beach, Cuba

According to Columbus, Cuba is "the most beautiful island that man has ever seen." The president of the Matsumoto Foundation is relaxing with a colleague on Varadero Beach, Cuba's largest beach resort. Muchacho bonito!

In November 2007, he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. A celebration was held at the Imperial Hotel in 2008.
In Chisinau, the capital of Moldova 2013

Matsumoto Seminar was held on the theme of "Recent Situations and Challenges in Healthcare in Japan and the World." A courtesy visit was made to the President of Moldova at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.
